Far Reef Deep Wrecks - pristine beauty at the edge of civilization

These are dives for Deep Specialty certified divers who care enough to brave a 1.5 hour boat ride to dive two fantastic 40M deep wrecks in Taprobane North.

In return they will savor two World Class dives in most certainly pristine conditions. The visibility in the far reefs is never less than 20 meters. On average its 30m - 40m.

First Dive: Taprobane North Wreck

The first dive will be at the Taprobane North Wreck This is a HUGE cargo ship. It rests on clean white sand at 40M and the bow and the stern extends all the way up to 30M. The ship is covered with shoals of Yellow Striped Snappers and other big pelagic's visit the ship on occasion. The amazing panorama of the stern and and the bow rising above one's head far away is a sight to behold and never forgotten. Its overwhelming. There are some fantastic but safe swim through's.

Second Dive: The Taprobane North Barge

After the first dive we will head back shore and dive this on the way after about 1.5 hour surface interval. Similar to the first dive this ship too lays on 40M of sand and lays on its side. The top of the ship is at around 30M too. The similarities end there. This is much smaller than the first ship wreck yet full of pristine soft coral, black coral and reef fish.
